ESTempMaster Gold Series

This wedge series is designed to operate up to 150°C (302°F). The TempMaster Gold solution package has been designed to include all the required equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation within this temperature range. The Gold series high temperature material has a safety margin factored to accommodate some fluctuation.

ESTempMaster Black Series

This wedge series has been designed for more extreme temperatures of up to 350°C (662°F) with its safety margin and monitoring features also designed to accommodate some fluctuation potential in its upper range. This series requires similar cautions for cable management and heat transfer issues, and also includes a safety protocol for operators and equipment. The additional cautions for an increased awareness of the elevated temperatures, and an awareness of potential duty cycle mandates, will again be dictated by the specific environmental conditions present.

Automated Inspection Solution

Both TempMaster Solution packages can be purchased with an automated ultrasonic scanner specifically designed to operate at elevated temperatures up to 370°C (698°F). This motorized scanner enables the operator to spend minimum time in direct contact with components at elevated temperatures, increasing both safety and scan quality/repeatability. The scanner can be used for normal temperature work and will accommodate standard probes and varied array configurations, and is designed to address both corrosion area scanning and weld inspection.

Manual Inspection Solution

Scan manually with TempMaster Gold and Black wedges. Both types of wedges are encoded with a specially designed magnetic pole encoder for corrosion mapping and weld inspection. Add the coolant pump for the complete high temperature manual scanning solution.

Options

Eclipse Scientific offers two software solutions for your high temperature inspection requirements: ESBeamTool allows you to easily design and simulate an inspection and generates comprehensive documentation of your inspection technique, while ESInspectionBank provides effective process management and secure control of scan data, from acquisition to analysis reporting.

Functional Thickness Range

Typical wall thicknesses for common components are considered to be between 10mm and 20mm (˜0.4" to 0.8"). The next wall thickness range required for other common industry applications falls between 20mm and 50mm (˜0.8" to 2"). To address both multiple reflection issues within wedges and high temperatures shifting exit points, Eclipse has designed a second wedge set for both the Black and Gold series to enable an excellent performance balance at these heavier wall ranges. Profiled wedges can be made available for applications that require curved surface inspections.
