Eclipse Scientific has introduced a practical solution for performing crack detection and monitoring inspection of bolts. The Wheel Encoded Bolt Scanner (WEBSCAN) allows you to determine the extent of corrosion and identifying cracking without removing the bolt.

The WEBSCAN inspection system has an upper probe housing which clamps the probe into place and allows it to be adjusted up and down to reach studs that are above or below the nut surface. It can also be adjust back and forth on the bolt head surface to achieve optimum scanning position. Adjustable spring mounting ensures that the probe contacts the bolt with an even force applied over the surface and protective wear face plates ensure that the probe does not suffer abrasion damage.
Special order housings can be made to accommodate any bolt or probe. A complete solution including procedure and technique as well as step-by-step instructions is also available to ensure that you complete the job in the shortest possible time and with the greatest amount of accuracy and repeatability.
Available in three sizes with selected probes ensures optimum performance for scanning bolts of any size.
