ScanBank provides effective process management & secure control of scan data from acquisition to analysis reporting. From project planning, resource tracking and document management to data collection, analysis and reporting, ScanBank keeps complex projects organized and under control.
Archtecture
The scan management system is a server based architecture for centrally storing, managing and controlling access to documents and raw scan data. SQL Server provides security for documents and supporting attribution to facilitate managing multiple versions of a document and controlling user access to the documents.
The server can be accessed within a corporate network or may be configured to allow access through the internet if desired.

ScanBack supports the entire inspection life cycle, from aquisition through analysis and resolution to reporting.

Component Management
Components are physical items or regions that are inspected during a project. ScanBank allows you to customize the attributes for various aspects of the component identification to provide greater reporting detail. Component records can even include GPS coordinates and be plotted on a map. The component summaries empower planning for analysis schedueling. With buit-in tools such as Component Catalog and Component Templates, setting up new components is quick and easy.
Scan Management
ScanBank stores all scans in a DMS (Document Management System) that controls concurrent access to scans. Easily drag and drop scan files into ScanBank. Technicians working in the field can use the ScanBank Upload Queue to bulk upload scans from remote sites.
Project Management
If your company is returning to the same site for a different project, you end up using the same components in multiple projects. The list of scans associated to those components can add up quickly. ScanBank’s Project Mode feature allows you to change the Inspection view between displaying detail from all projects, a single project, or a quick comparison between multiple
projects.
People Management
ScanBank’s People tab allows you to identify and track the people that are working on various projects. It enables resource planning and tracks personal/professional information, certifications, training, job roles, and documents related to a person.
Scheduling and Resource Management
The built in resource scheduler lets you manage your equipment and people effectively.
An industry standard Gantt chart allows you to quickly and easily visualize where people and equipment are, as well as their upcoming availability.
Reminders
Make sure your company is prepared with working/tested equipment. The Reminders section of ScanBank is used to create reminders for yourself or others. This is especially useful for reminding a contact that a piece of equipment needs to be calibrated. Reminders are automatically created for certification renewal and equipment calibration based on the date entered for "Next Calibration".
Equipment Management
You have invested a lot of money in your NDT equipment. How do you keep track of it all? ScanBank manages and tracks all your NDT equipment and supporting documentation, even user manuals and images.
Detailed calibration records are sorted and managed and include the ability to embed certification documents, ensuring access to information at audit time.
Owners can be automatically reminded of up-coming equipment calibrations.
The built-in resource scheduler allows you to schedule who is using equipment and when.
Calibration Block Management
ScanBank provides the ability to manage calibration blocks, all their supporting documentation, and associated documents. Detailed, and customizable, information can be tracked including the physical attributes of the block, the people and projects associated with the block, images, and operator notes. Documents such as schematics can easily be embedded. Scheduling information for blocks can be viewed from the ScanBank Resources Gantt chart and it is easy to determine who will be using blocks, when, and for what purpose.
Document Management
ScanBank also includes ProControl. ProControl is a procedure and technique management system built on Eclipse Scientific’s DMS (Document Management System) architecture. It is a fully revision controlled system that facilitates document check-outs, edits, check-ins, version histories, subscriptions and access control.
The ProControl client allows users to manage a set of procedures and their supporting documents. Access to documents is controlled by the roles assigned to individual users. The user interface is dynamically restructured based on the roles assigned to the user logging in, to make locating and viewing relevant documents as easy as possible.
Third-Party Integration
ScanBank is designed to allow for easy integration with other NDT software applications. Users of InspectionWare and UltraVision can export the scans and indications they’ve acquired directly into ScanBank without the effort of reentering data. ScanBank also has a simple XML format that can be generated and imported into the system, allowing for any application to streamline data input.
Configurability
From the outset, ScanBank has been designed to be a configurable platform. Based on the DICONDE model of Information Object Definitions (IODs) and their standard attributes, the system can be customized to add or remove any custom attributes to any of the ScanBank data types. This allows you to collect and report the exact details that pertinent to you inspection projects. |
