EN 473 and ISO 9712 Training and Certification In Canada

Now in association with TWI (The Welding Institute, UK), Eclipse Scientific is an Authorized Training Organization and Approved Examination Body offering training and examinations to comply with the requirements for certification to EN 473 and ISO 9712.

CSWIP (Certification Scheme for Weld Inspection Personnel) is one of the oldest and most respected NDT certification schemes in the world. In addition to the traditional NDT methods, the CSWIP scheme has now extended its certified methods to the advanced UT methods of Pipeline AUT, TOFD and Phased Array ultrasonic inspection. Courses and examinations for these certifications are now available in Canada through Eclipse Scientific.

The CSWIP scheme is:

• an internationally recognized mark of competence for people engaged in welding and/or inspection related jobs in manufacturing, construction, and operating or repairing high integrity welded structures, plants or components
• an accredited scheme - the UK government's Department of Trade and Industry has accredited CSWIP for personnel certification in accordance with ISO/IEC 17024 through the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS)
