152 - Eddy Current Array TechnologyThe Introduction to Eddy Current Arrays Technology course is designed to introduce industrial ET practitioners and engineers to the principles of Eddy Current arrays and the operation and navigation of the Eddyfi Ectane ET instrument and Magnifi software. The course is paced to provide a challenge for experienced technicians while emphasizing fundamentals of operation and standard practices for all attendees. We recommend that attendees have attained Level 2 or 3 certification in eddy current prior to attending this course. Objectives
• Magnifi installation • Magnifi features • Magnifi concepts • Introduction to the Ectane ET instrument • Coil layouts and firing orders • Field orientation • C-scan set up, 2D and 3D • File structure • Technique development • Advanced analysis set up • Array probe calibrations • Sequence settings and acquisition • Analysis and reporting Suitable ForLevel 2 or 3 ET students with analysis requirements demanding advanced knowledge of ET array techniques. This course is designed to provide the skills required by the technician to calibrate, acquire, and interpret a variety of typical array data. The advantages to the employer are immediate and significant, as the graduate technician will be empowered to acquire and analyze ET array data using the Eddyfi Ectane instrument combined with Magnifi software. Duration5 days (40 hours) 50% classroom, 40% hands-on software, 10 % testing Course Equipment and MaterialsEclipse wants to ensure students continue to gain awareness of the potential of this technology. Adding to the equipment introduced in the ET Level 2 program will be additional instrumentation, samples and an even wider range of specialized arrays. Aerospace samples and unique shapes and materials are provided to demonstrate principles and to aid students in targeting the suitable applications.
